In familiarizing myself with admin settings I somehow managed to remove the original banner image. For now I have added something I had on hand, but would like to open up to suggestions for something new..
To continue with Ruth's spirit I invite all to submit images that may be fitting for the group header. I have learned from testing that unlike the user profile the banner image offers zero options to edit/move (selects the center section) so please bear this in mind when offering images.
I am not sure how this will pan out at the moment, so please bear with me as I learn the ropes.
I'd love to see some ICM up there. I think I've only ever seen minimalism, which granted, was Ruth's thing. For my own submission, I'd be interested in seeing how my stained glass works.
Awesome image and beautiful colors! Definitely embodies abstract and experimental.
I know both you and Mike have images that would work. Make sure to submit your own.
I'll take a look...
Got one. For those who may not have seen this - I was experimenting with trying to recreate how bubbles froze in a water bottle in my car. It seemed to freeze slowly enough that long air trails formed before they were ultimately trapped. Setting an open container of water in my freezer froze too fast so I put some into an insulated cup to slow down the freezing. I took the cup out way too early and the unfrozen water drained and left behind this lattice.
I don't believe I saw that particular image, but I remember the experiments. This is a beautiful abstract.
Thanks, Matthew. I may have posted some other images before since I took many before it melted. I cropped this one to fill the frame and oriented it to fit the banner.
This one definitely has my vote for a banner.
It's got my vote!!!!
I'd say people just post an image here that fits the banner and group theme, then just cycle thru them ever week or two. :)
That would work well. Perhaps Alan could draw from the posts as well.
This is one of the images that helped start the whole thing. It has the advantage of appropriate cropping potential.
I like the look.
For now I will go with Matthew's offering. The abstract nature of his beautiful image is well suited to the banner format.
Well done Matthew!
Many thanks Alan.
