ICM on a Spring Day

Some tries at ICM during the day. The first two are in a grove of pink flowering trees. The third is a patch of yellow and white daffodils.

I very much enjoy the pastel colors of the first.

Thank you, Matthew!

Thanks for posting Jennifer, it's great to see you are experimenting further with ICM.

These show promise and I'd encourage you to continue to explore using different speeds, motions etc. to see what works best in what situation.

BTW - I have lots of ICM info on my website as a result of my own explorations, and if you have Photoshop have an article on how you can simulate ICM motion effects to gauge results. Not to 'cheat' but it is a great way to see how motion speed and angle can impact any regular photo (eg trees, seascapes ) you may have.

Otherwise I'd recommend you get a ND filter (6-stop is typically recommended) if shooting through the day (to allow slower speeds) and be prepared to take LOTS of shots. The pros can take 100-200 shots of a single subject as results are so variable.

If you want to discover more there is a popular Facebook group and online magazine I can recommend that was started by an fstoppers member;
