Denizen of the Woods.

The result of considering a different perspective. For the first I used straw and a single twig for the forest in the background, while in the other I used twigs for trees and a single, thicker stick for the log. The second is the one I feel better reflects the character, but I like him being left-handed as in the first. Should I take another go at it, find the best of both worlds?

Update: I did take another shot, which is below as the third.

As for creativity, I used a snow shovel, a tennis racket, and a cardboard box to create the proper lighting conditions. Not my normal setup, but it worked.

I like the mood and lighting, and even the surroundings more than the 1st one. I do agree that something does look better about it being in the left hand. I think because in the second shot, the blade and the dark tree behind him are too similar maybe? Might be more balanced with the blade in the opposite side of a statement branch.

Looking at your comment, I think you did peg the issue. I think if I was to do a reshoot, I may have to move the log. I hadn't noticed the issue with the knife and tree being too similar, but I think if I kept the exact background, the fallen log would pose the same problem.Maybe I could put the log where the brush is now.

Id play around with what you could make the surroundings out of a little more. You are clearly creative and resourceful.

Thank you very much. I also have a helmet I could give the goblin instead of the hood.

It would depend on how it works with the environment. Just like the blade.

Here are some behind the scenes photos.
