Film Objektiv: A New Way to Rent the Coolest Film Cameras for Super Cheap

Hey, everyone! I hinted at and announced the development of Film Objektiv in this group a while back, but I am now happy to announce we're slowly rolling out with soft announcements around the web. Those that have wanted to try various film cameras can now do so by renting through FilmObjektiv.org. We're starting small and growing slowly as we prove our model, but check us out and let me know what you think! What cameras would you want to see in there next!? We already have a Contax G2 kit and a Hasselblad 203FE kit coming in the next few weeks.

On another note, I've already recruited one awesome volunteer. But we are looking for others interested in helping and/or interested in some of the temporary gigs (developer-related) that we have listed through our Work for Us page. Send me a message if you are interested!

Any suggestions, recommendations, comments, etc., would be very, very welcome! Cheers!

Love this idea. Best of luck with it!

Thanks! Glad you like it!

Love it. Site looks great too. Any plans to add large format cameras? Most people, even those who shoot a lot of film, have never had the chance to shoot one unless they went to school for photography, and the process is so different that an option to rent equipment rather than spend hundreds/thousands on the equipment would really help spread the format.

I want to do a LOT more large format. Right now there's just the one 4x5 converted from the Polaroid 110B. I have another I will add in a bit. But I will fill out the collection much more in the future. Thanks for the input! Everything I hear about helps guide the next "acquisition." :-)

Best of luck, and thanks for doing this.
