"Fine Art Experiments"
I hate the term "fine art" but I don't know what else exactly to call these besides just black and white.
New Life
This is not a good shot in the way we ould normally think of but I at least the got the eye dead sharp of this 5-7 day old Wood Pigeon which we have done our best to protect both parents.
Golden Beak
I spotted this blackbird tucked among the leaves. Unlike most birds, it didn’t flinch when I raised my camera it simply stayed put, almost as if it was posing for the shot.
Growth From Decay
This is deeply meaningful to me. Surviving and blossoming despite all attempts to stop me blossoming on my own terms.
Flowers In The Ground
Flowers growing in our garden. Another experiment with sliders in post. Mostly perspective which is not easy because one can make a move and it says I can't do that!

This end result (Photography + PP) is super amazing.
Thanks. Broncolor Para 133 helped minimize PP
Is this only with the 133? Very curious how the picture looks SOOC.
I tried using it with a beauty dish, but I'm not happy with the results = https://fstoppers.com/groups/324/beauty-portrait-editorial-makeup-photo….
Your picture looks much better exposed. I winged it that day and I'm also not a full time photographer, so I've only used it ones.
Yes, just the Para 133. I played with the contrast just a touch in Capture One. Then usual the skin smoothing.
The Para 133 works as well and even better than a BD (IMO). I’d say a BD and the Para 133 would be too much and would flatten an image out.
The Para was fully defocussed and raised to just above the camera lens about 3 feet from the model.
I use a flash meter to get my exposure.
