Where did you put the strips? Were they gridded? How big were the strips? And What was the Key? Am having a lot of problems with this shot, not yours, mine.

the strips are Rotalux strips with a hooded diffuser. they where to the side and behind him, the key light was in front and to camera right, slightly above him.
the lighting is arranged when the model is facing me, so i can have the lights pointing where I want them.
since the lights don't move, the effect changes when the model turns to one side or another.
