Hello everyone,
This is one of my personal projects, I wanted to make "bodysuits" of glitter (of course with the help of a super talented makeup artist), It peeled very fast so we had to work veryy veryy fast! it ended up matching the black sand from the beach (the first look). (Machuca beach in Puerto Rico)
the second look is red, also glitter glued to give the effect of a bodysuit.
Hope you guys like it.
Melissa I.
These are gorgeous, and the simplicity of the glitter is amazing! Great work!
Excelent and very beautiful. I think the they would have been perfect if she had been nude, as the garment is causing issues, including creases or folds where there ought to be perfect beautiful curved lines, but what the hell, still wonderful, especially the red.
thank you, the whole idea was around the glitter, so them being nude would've changed the concept.
I did not mean you should have shot without glitter, just without the clothing under the glitter. The garments take the perfection off the images, imo. The glitter on the skin would have been perfect for showing off the model's beautiful figure with the natural, smooth flowing curves she undoubtedly has. The wrinkly garments just ruin this effect. I love the glitter, the model, the idea but not the wrinkles and other tell tale signs that there is clothing hiding under the glitter, not helping the image at all.
I don't like to be brutally honest, lest I give offense, when non is intend. It is my experience that where it is possible people will find ways to misinterpret the written word, and giving offense is absolutley not my intention. However, if I am brutally honest I think the clothing cheapens the shots greatly, which is such a shame as they are otherwise wonderful. The way I see them, entirely because of the clothing, is that they look amateurish. Now what I mean by that is that lots of amateur shoots are done with models who will not do nude, so all sorts of silliness is done to imply nudity. The model usually looks uncomfortable and the shot look contrived and the whole contrivance just highlights that the model was not willing to do the nude work the shoot needed. On the other hand, on a professional shoot this would never happen. If nudity is needed, a model who is up for it would be booked, she would be comfortable doing the work and the images would work. A professional result.
I hope I have clearly made my point without offense. The shots are almost superb with just the silliness of the clothing taking the edge off them, such a shame.
So fun. I absolutely love the images.
