I am not sure if this is available light, say in a doorway or diffused studio type flash. She is pretty and has a lovely cmplexion so could handle more directional light but looks good with this light, although the fact that there is more light on her body than on her face is not so good, This is one thing that makes it look like a doorway shot but the lower arm is darker, so maybe not. To make look rather more professinal one needs to look at the details. Her eyes are over edited, but beautiful. You have a good combination of hat and lipstick colours but the grey top, the bra strap, the grey gemstone on the ring and the black watch don't work with the pinks, or is it the other way round. My point is there needs to be some design to lift a photo to a professional level photograph. It is sharp and well exposed with natural colour, good use of depth of field and tightly framed. She is engaging us through your lens. These are good basic technical points and it is a nice photo just not a superb photograph

Thaks Ian, this shot was in a door. She was like 3 feet away of the door and I was outside. Thanks for the advices! next time.

I did notice the orange orb and was going to mention it but I got distracted and I was not sure if that was one thing too many to complain about. It is not ideal.

Carrio, you are right, the eyes do help us not to notice the orange thing, as much as we might. However, I have suggested the eyes are over edited and if they were better done the eyes would be less able to distract us from the orange orb.

I also see no reason to crop the hat in an upright shot like this. better not cropped.

Ian, are you too polite to point out that distracting out of focus orb next to her eye?

What I think happened is that the photographer is so familiar with this pretty subject, he failed to notice that, plus all the things you mentioned.

i think it is a rather flattering shot. and honestly the orb didn't throw me off . her eyes drew me and in and totally didn't notice it. i liked the meshing of the pinks and grays maybe not the watch but everything else was great. filled the frame nicely. like Ian said her face is s bit shadowed other than that i really like the pose and the DOF

I think I love her eyes as well but something about her pose does throw me off - otherwise it's a good shot!
