Vintage Lenses
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

I really enjoy creating something different with drones. I've had the Mavic now for about four weeks and I absolutely love it.

The one with you far away, because to me it gives me the feeling of watching you trample your way through the bush, or seeking around to spy on some one.... I guess I just have that sneaky suspicion ! Great capture.
Thank you very much Bobby!
I prefer the second image for several reasons:
1. The way the foliage frames your subject. The shadow of the leaves on the forehead doesn’t really bother me.
2. The light on, “Cami’s,” face is softer and brings out more of the eye color, relative to the first shot.
3. “Cami’s,” expression in the second shot is more intriguing to me.
Nice work, Cristian.
Thanks for the feedback Robert!
I prefer the second frame, the light on her eye is nicer and while there’s more foliage some key spots are less distracting. However, I like the closeness to the model on the first one. I think on the second one you could lose anything below the branch, and there seems to be some spare room on the right where a slightly tighter crop would work and move more focus on the person. Nice shots though.
Thank you Michael!!
I prefer the first! I think Cami's head tilt makes her look more questioning, and interesting because of that. In the second, she seems more distant (not just literally) and possibly defiant, which is interesting in its own way. In the first, there's an air of curiosity and tentative invitation, as if she's engaged the viewer. In the second, it's as if she's just realised the viewer is there, and is just shifting her attention to the viewer.
Also, a little more technically speaking, in the second the leaves covering her forehead create a cluttering effect I don't feel in the first with its shallow DOF and bokeh.
But... "there is something about these 2 pictures that I really like" too! Good work, and an interesting, unconventional portrait.
Thanks for the comment and feedback Chris!
I prefer the first version. The foreground seems more blurred. and I like the highlight on her forehead.
Thanks Adam!
The 2nd shot has a more genuine expression; she looks like shes posing in the 1st shot, and I find head tilts (even though they have their place) to be cliche. I like the clutter of leaves in the 2nd shot, it almost looks like she was hiding there and was surprised by you. Really nice coloring in these photos as well.
Thank you for the feedback Francisco!
