Hi all!
This is my first post here!
2 weeks ago was the first time I've mixed artificial light with natural light.
In my opinion the photos turned out quite great, however I really should have let a bit more natural light in. The background is a too dark and undefined.
And in retrospect the black clothes are not the best choice :)
Otherwise I'd love to hear your thoughts about it!
(The guy on the second one is me. My friend took a photo with the same settings, but since she's not a photographer, the composition is a "bit" off. Sorry about that :) )
Hi Daniel. Since you didn't mention it's safe to assume that these are not edited. You do mention that the background is too dark and undefined. Try editing them to lift the shadows - you can do wonders with a bad photo with even just a little post processing. Even with the picture of you, crop it so it's not a "bit off." It goes a long way. Her headroom can be reduced also.
Also, try sharing settings and setup.
I think the goal for me here is to try to put my best effort forward and let others tell me what i can improve on; that means composition, story, editing all need to be as good as I can get them before i post.
Good luck and keep at it.
