Bob Turton's picture

Jameela

I'm so happy to share an image from my first post-lock down socially distanced shoot. I would love feedback on tone and composition. I'm still learning the frequency separation. This image was meant to copy an inspiration image she sent me before the shoot, hence the pink color gradient.

Shot with my Canon 6D with 70-200 2.8

Lit with soft box, umbrella for fill, gold bounce for some extra magic.

I love the tones and I think they work well together. For composition, it's a little too head on for me - a turn of the shoulders could go a long way, unless the pose is part of the inspiration. I think a tighter crop on the sides could strengthen it also. Do you have any others from this shoot?

Thanks Bruce! I’m glad to hear the tones are working. That’s was my main focus. I agree on the crop as well. I think I went a little too crazy on the skin smoothing though. Yes on the session. I’ll post more photos from the whole session ASAP. Thanks for the feedback. Below is the inspiration image.

You're welcome. I think you did the inspirational image justice. Looking forward to the others.

good shot, i suppose 100 % of pink color would be better for backdrop or i would like to blur the back in post work and upper part (hair and cloth) of the image a bit more exposed, inspiration file is better one , pink and cyan go together

Thank you for the feedback! I love your work.
