Great shots, especially the second one where it almost seems like he's floating in midair. Great contrast. Love it.

Both are excellent, Ruth! (Enough that I joined this Group to comment!) Przemek and Mike make a good point about the second, but the bird's pose in the first is very appealing and rather majestic.
I much prefer these to the heron image you recently added to your portfolio, where the bird's legs look cut off by the frame edge at first glance. Here, the more complete but distorted reflections add greatly to the images' strength, to my eye. I'd do a swap! Or add these.
