The vertical framing doesn't work for me. Too much dead space above and below the subject. You say you'd like feedback on the edit, what does the original look like? Did you have room for wide framing, or is this not cropped?
I like this better than the edit. The bunny is a cute, fuzzy critter, your edit changed the soft light into harsh light. I still think it should be in a wide format, and that there is too much dead space above and below. You have a great photo to start with, I think you should go with the flow of the image as shot, leave the softness of the animal and light, and give the bunny some love.
I agree with Dave Vichich about the the soft raw versus harsh edit bunny. I like what you did with the top and bottom in terms of dropping the exposure. I think a good compromise would be to leave the bunny and grass soft like the raw, add the gradients top and bottom, and maybe crop 4:5 vertical.
