Went to a wildlife refuge early in the morning in search of bald eagles here in Virginia. Spotted a nest (which was about six feet across) and waited to see if anything would show up. Got lucky as a eagle and adult juvenile arrived. Couldn't get a decent shot of the juvenile (branches in the way) but got this shot of the adult landing on a branch by the nest.
Feedback is always appreciated.
Respect for a great shot. The wings are huge definitely and where they should be. FREE.Not in a park. Cool to meet you
Thanks Tammy!
I like the body position and slight motion blur in the wing tips. There is a sense of life.
I would like to see a little more breathing room between the wing and left edge of the frame. Not a great deal, it just feels a touch crowded. There is also a small speck (sensor dust or a bug, maybe) at center bottom I'd be inclined to remove.
Thanks Dan, yeah maybe giving the left wing a little more space might have been a good call. Totally missed the speck at the bottom of the screen...that makes me cringe.
Hi Marcus. An amazing frame. very good click at the right time. However for my perception, the tree branch is a little distraction in directing the vision straight to the bird first.
For my learning, explored a possibility of correction as below. if you do not connect, please ignore.
Thanks Vijay for taking the time to do the edit! It's always refreshing to see how other photographers would have done things...
Nice details
