This is a shot I managed to get out of my window of a bird during the snowstorm last week. I'm unsure about what kind of bird it is, but I think it's some kind of finch. The first is just a crop of the original. In the second I added more snow for effect.
I would appreciate both CC and any information you can give about the type of bird.
It's difficult to tell. It's a female or immature bird and I'm leaning towards House Finch by the bill shape but a full picture might make it easier as the Purple Finch has a forked tail. The House Finch would be more common in your area.
