What did you do to this image in post?

The idea is fine and it almost works. It looks better when I click on it, and we get a black surround, than on this white page, which is often the case because the white kills the darker tones whereas the black background, after clicking, brings out all the tones so much better. That said, there are problems, the biggest, as I see it, is the dramatic top light, which doesn't quite work for me. One associated problem is her eyes, which you have tried to make more visible, because the top light cast a deep shaddow over them making them dark. You have made them look very retouched. Strangely, and counter intuitively, the angular top lighting has flattened the image, apart from her face, which is too much light and shade. I would have far prefered your key light to the right of the model (camera right), soft and low, so her face would be bright on the right and in shade on the left but also adding form to her leg and a soft shaddow on her low front, and allowing the almost open shirt to cast a soft shaddow on her body. This would also make her right arm, the straight one on our left, slightly less impactful. Alternatively, a shaft of slightly diffused light from a spot light positioned as suggested above, shinning on her thigh and across her body reflecting soft fill light on to her face, may be. I think her white bra is distracting. Better to loose it, or if she is very modest then a flesh colourd bra would do or Photoshop it away. The shirt having a highly military style of pressing is unsympathetic to the image. The horizontal crease across her upper chest is not nice on a moody girl shot. I would have prefered a pressed shirt without the horizontal crease or a shirt that was not pressed at all. A bit more leg would have been nice in such a girlie shot. At the very bottom of the picture there is a baloon of white cloth and behind her at the bottom there is a distracting pale curve, both need to be gone.

So what do I like? The girl is very attaractive, her hair is nicely tusseled, and her expression is fine, as is the fact that she is looking into your lens. The background colour is fine too. She is in focus and I like the moody exposure. The earring is ok but slightly distracts from her eyes.
