-21 C here in Tallinn, Estonia.

Went out to shoot some desperately needed portraits in extreme cold weather. Both of the a6000's batteries were drained after about 30 frames. Even though she was tough... we decided to give up. Came back with these after about 10 minutes of shooting.

overall I think these are great. I maybe would have liked her to pop more with light. Sort of like a reflector/gold and or a beauty dish. Although this is a personal opinion and not really CC. Last thing also is a comment that is personal. I would like to see you try a dynamic session with her. Something that gets her more involved with you. To bring out her character/personality. Otherwise...like I said. Nice work.

They make up a very stylish set. Not easy to do under any circumstances. Well done. The use of coour, the matched tonality and facial quality, beautiful job. My only real complaints are trivial, in comparison the overcoming the temperature. Here eyes are over edited. The fence post or whatever, in the middle of the top picture is distracting. However, -21 well done you both.

Thanks for the good notes. A bit more dynamic shoot in the Netherlands, The Hague I had with the same model a while ago, when it was warmer. Something like this u meant, Patryk? :)

:)

Yes exactly what I meant. I could already get a sense of her real smile and personality.

I really like the last one, very natural tones and the bokeh is fantastic. I think that it just miss the mouth, it to hidden for me. For your battery life, this is why DSLRs are made for, real work ;-)

I'd think again.. we arrived on location with another car filming a music video.. they left after about 10-15 minutes of filming because their d810's wouldn't power up cuz of dead batteries + there were some problems with their lighting as well due to that extreme cold. They yelled at me "good luck out there". We followed them back about 10 minutes later and had a laugh at the parking site about the crazy weather. None of us could get into our cars because the weather had drained the audi's and a porche's remote keys. Had to warm them up inside my pants where it gained it's charge:D
