Elvis Liivamägi's picture

Extreme cold again, but worth while since she's simply stunning.

Couldn't feel my fingers and she couldn't feel her face after about 10 minutes. But still lucky to get these:D

sonya6000 sel50mm 1.8 natural light. -19 C outside. Fun day:D

At that temperature I assume you were not having fun outside all day?

You are right, she looks stunning, in part down to your work, of course. I don't like upright portraits where the top of the head is cropped, but horizontal portraits can work well cropped at the top and so it is with these photos. The whites of her eye are a bit too white for me but appart from these points, beautifully done, especially the top one.

Elvis, you are right she is stunning! That top photo is a winner! My only comment is I don't like the facial skin, it just looks too flawless, like its made of porcelain . I like a bit of realism in faces, but maybe her skin is just perfect......you tell us. As I've said this top photo is awesome.

Believe it or not but I personally did no retouching to her skin at all. The photo was for advertising her makeup artist skills and the new MAC makeup line. The makeup is too much, but she usually doesn't wear so much because she listens to his man (me haha). But that photo is over the top yup:D Thanks for the comments !

As we all mentioned, she looks beautiful and your work has been critical in ensuring we get to see her beauty. You now tell us the photos were to showcase her skills with MAC make-up. That being the case I think you could have served the brief rather better by shooting head and shoulders / close-up stype shots. The setting being out of focus and her work being bigger would have drawn attention to the skills and the quality of products used and overall you'd have produced a more professional looking answer to the brief.

She does look amazing and the cropping is fine for personal photos, or similar, but beauty products and techniques photos need less landscape and more facescape. I for one would love to see similar shots of her, all made up, cropped correctly for a beauty shoot. Something like the attached but if shot like that the photographic quality would have been many times higher.

Wow! All I can say is WOW! The black/grey lipstick throws me off but her skin with the red!! FANTASTIC!!

I can agree with the skin being too perfect but this photo tells me she is a vampire and has perfect skin.
