I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.

I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

I think you have done a good job. The lighting is well judged and executed. I often crop the top of heads but this image would look better, to me, with the top of her head included and just a bit more space all round. But like I said at the top, a good job, well done.

Good shot! Blue top is a good contrast to her skin tone.
loose strands of hair bother me. Needs some dodging/burning around the jaw and face, to thin out the face
