Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5. NOTE: With this lens the minimum focusing distance is 18" at which point you have 1/4" depth of field.
Any interest in this group?
Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
Vintage Lenses
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

That is a fabulous photograph, much more than a headshot, in my opinion. He looks amazing, and you have executed the work, very well. I would have prefered the dark shadow on his chest a little lighter, including more detail, but truthfully, I don't care, it is good for all to see.
Thanks for c&c Ian.
Very nicely done. I see no glaring issues with this shot - just a few esthetics. I would have removed the dark area sticking out from the top of your subject's right ear as it's a bit distracting. Also, I might have brightened his eyes just a bit, as the eyes are everything, especially in a photo like this. Other than that this is a really great shot. Well done!
thank you for c&c Mike.
Fine work. The interplay between the Paisley, the background and the figure in the subjects face is really cool. Opinion: I would leave the eyes as they are.
Awesome photo. However I would lighten the area around the eyes as they tend to get washed away in that dark patch area in the center of your subject's face. But overall I love the photo. Good luck
