I guess if you take them, it is valuable to get some understanding behind the lense.

Not at all easy to do. Focus, framing and ones expression with noone to interact with, all problems. Brave man and not a bad effort, well done. It is sharp, admitedly you did not work at f1.2 but who cares. I'd say your image is a little flat, maybe becasue it is slightly underexposed but not too much so. I think I would prefer the fill light, camera right, behind the shoulder and a little higher and softened so the shaddow of your glasses arm is far less visible and below the arm.

Finally the white background is too white. I guess it is a Photoshop white cutout background but if not it gives that impression becasue there is no tone at all.

A good stab at a tough shoot. You are very corageous inviting CC here.

Thanks Ian. I invite all CC as it helps me to improve my craft. Model didn't take direction easily LOL
I shot this at F10, about 85mm. Yes replaced grey with white in PS. Thank you again

Brave man! I really do not like that side of the camera.

I agree on the background. It got my attention before the model....just "seemed" odd.

Thanks Craig. I've arranged another sitting with the model, this time taking in the suggestions and comments, hopefully he'll cooperate. LOL Have a great day.

You know those damn moody models. Can't get them to cooperate. lol
