Hi all,
I've been trying to hone my photoshop and lightroom chops by working on some images in my LR cat. I decided to have a play with this image (that I'm sure you're all sick of by now!). I was interested to see how it would work as a b&w but as usual the more sets of eyes on it the better! Thanks
I like the colors and tones maybe there's a little aura around the object? :)
It needs more space in the buttom, the left and right pole are a bit too close to the edge.
It is a strong image and the dark tones of the mast and sewage pipe, or whatever it is, are very impactful. The sea and sky look good too. I am hard to please when it comes to symetrical shots. They better be symetrical, no if, no buts, no excusses, no bs. This one is not quite symetrical, but is obviously suposed to be. I suspect PS can be used to fix it.
Does your camera have a viewfinder grid to help composition? With symetry and horizons, they can be useful.
