Received a Canon 10-18 uw for christmas. Finally got a chance to use it.
I was in the rice fields so there really wasnt something in the foreground to draw in, so I tried my best. How would you have composed with an UW?
A couple of old photos taken while the Amtrak was stopped - somewhere in Colorado, I think?

This female has arrived at Hamerton. This place rescues animals from all over the world, mainly endangered species, and they breed when they can.
I've photographed Ady a few times now. We get better each time as a team. This image was a fave from our latest session. I hope you like it to.

In answer to your question, the only thing i can think of would have been to bend your knees, so the foliage became bigger, but this would have flattened the scape, so a balancing exercise, like most of what we do.
I like this although the sun looks a bit digital, as it so often does in such shots. Hard to get it look more analogue though, I know. The foliage in the water's margin also looks abit digital, over processed, over blacked.
Overall a good pic.
Thank you so much Ian! Yeah, the lighting was hard for me to adjust right without it looking a little over saturated. I still have so much to learn in post- processing.
I was trained in photography, in the 1970s, so like you I have an ongoing and very much uphill struggle to learn editing in all its many guises, nuances and software products. It is great but an unholy nightmare.
