This shot is almost too cool to comment on... but I will anyway. I love the entire shot. So much was done right. Exposure - perfect. Composition and concept - fantastic. Post - very well done. Location and setting - very cool. Man, very well done! The shot speaks for itself, and that's the best comment I can give it. Pure art.

Thank you very much Mike! :) Means alot!

Hi Mads,
Nice work. The moody sky over the transcendental sand makes for a nice contrast. My eye gets really attracted to the horizon as it is just off of level. Making it level would likely mess up the clouds though. The way you have it adds an edgy feeling to the image.
I go through similar frustrations and then....a nice image just appears. It seems it is the nature of fine art landscape / nature photography unless time and budget are not limitations. We need to be ready when these opportunities show up.
Best...Mike

Thanks Mike much appriciated! I honestly haven't paid much attention to the "horizon" since it's not the horizon, but the top of the sanddune, If I level it out the person are not vertical and would look bad - ofcause it's an easy fix though ;)

It has a nice mystery to it and lets the viewer make up their own stories. This would look quite striking printed up quite large.

Thanks alot Rob! I agree and it's going to be printed for sure ;)

Yes it is another good one from Mads. I am not sure why correcting the slightly wonky horizon would cause any problems. If it would not then definately fix the horizon.

It is lovely and so cool.

Thank you Ian! As I wrote to Mike I think it's ok the top of the dune is "wonky" since it's not the horizon.

That is a good point. The fact hat we read it as needing to be hoizontal means other may see it that way too. However, now you have pointed this out The figure seems to be leaning. Not that I noticed before. Fixing that would take the skyline further off horizontal, which might stop people making the mistake that Mike and I made. Bbut then it may ruin a very nice work. Not sure.

I like it any way.
