Well, this is pretty nice; I wouldn't complain. I like that there's some readable detail in the shadows (iie the house on the water's edge) and wonder what this would look like with the shadows opened up just a tad more ... this may be my own bias, but I prefer dark and light tones with texture rather than hard black or white, at least for color photography.
As shot, I can imagine this as a poster, though, quite easily.

How weird, I left home last weekend to go to an astrophotography weekend and the weather did not cooperate, so I ended up with a photo of fog over a small farming village surrounded by vast forest.
Great photo, I love the silhouette and the reflection and colors. Really well done!
I agree. Not to say a Milky Way shot wouldn't look great here with the reflection and everything, but this is more unique. Seems like either way Alessandro would have came back with something great! Well done on the image.
