For those in the world that are sitting in the transitional period after the snow and ice melts away and before spring color and foliage arrives, what are you on the lookout for these days to battle the dull, desaturated earth? Include photos if you have them.
I am making pictures of the transition of a frozen St Lawrence river to a thawing river with more open water everyday. Ice flows are common this time of year and make patterns and create interesting subjects for long exposures.
I still can't believe this happened only a few weeks ago.
This season in Sweden (southern) is a landscape photographers worst nightmare. There is no color, no weather, no nothing. Fortunately the weather is getting better and the worse has past (December to March). This picture is from the worst period but it was a quite nice night.
