Hi Stas,
Two comments. One is that the sun is a bit far away from the church. My eye bounces back and forth between the two. If you could find a camera position so the sun is closer to the church, maybe as close as the trees, or back lighting the church, or coming through the tower window??? A second comment would be to find some interesting foreground, sorry but I find the grass to plain, or use the church as a foreground element with the mountains behind, and the sun lighting up the church windows. The scene has potential and seems worthy to spend time finding the best shot.

Thanks a lot, Mike! I really appreciate your comment! Got some good tips for the next time I'll be visiting Bavaria (whenever that will be).

If you boosted the warmth of the grass and the sunburst area more to really dramatize the rising sun, you'd get a pretty good color contrast against the blue sky. That and fixing the barrel distortion would really help this image in my opinion.

Thanks, Ryan! I actually did fix the distortion somewhat. I had to use a fish-eye lens to get as much into the scene as possible, don't have a wide angle lens yet.. I will try to move the distortion slider all the way, see what I get. And I'm looking forward to warm the grass up!

Hi Stas,
I would probably try cropping the photo from the bottom left up until it cuts a portion of the sun. This way you would get rid off a lot of the foreground and have only the sun rays coming from the left and illuminating the trees. Not sure if it works, but I would give it a try :)
