The newbie here! Portrait of a beauty in a dodgy area inside!

I took this just as the sun was setting in the Furry Glen, a section of the Phoenix Park that is beautiful, but also home to people who enjoy the company of others/anyone in the dark. Seriously, it's like a breeding ground up there at night - you can hear the grass groan. But like Springfield, the weirdos only come out at night.

I'd spent the majority of time with Rebecca trying to get some creative-flash shots, but being as I was without an assistant on hilly, exposed ground with an umbrella as a modifier, it fairly quickly turned into a windswept fiasco. I can imagine my bearded figure emerging from the woods swearing as I chased after an umbrella must've really been a sight to behold. Anyway, I put away the lights and we headed for the back of the lake where I took a good handful of shots with this backdrop. I wouldn't say I'm egotistical, but I'm really fond of the shot myself - that said, I'd love to hear some critique. It was my first time really paying attention to a colour palette - and I changed some details and original colours so that there was a minimal amount of colours in the final image. I'd love to hear feedback on that!

Thanks for checking it out

Lovely shot of a lovey girl in a lovely setting with a lovely colour palette. That last point is so often overlooked but so important in the making of a good image. So obvious when you think about it.

Well done.

It's a beautiful portrait in a beautiful setting.

Very classic, nice light, nice pose, wow
