Hi everbody, I am new to the fstoppers community and new to this group and I am delighted to learn a lot from all these great photographers here... So please, let me know what your thoughts, picture, light, retouch, whatever... Thanks!
Very nice, soft and silky smooth high key portrait! Love the pose and the tight crop, if I have to find anything to fault with this portrait it would be the shadow spot on the shoulder that I could have been dodged away... But that is so minor that it hardly counts!
Hi Oliver, I'm sure some of the more experienced guys will give better guidance but for me the image is too overblown with not enough contrast so the details are lost. also the frame doesn't quite work for mt and would have preferred it had you not chopped off the top of her forehead. Good focus though and pose though.
Thanks you for your feedback, Christopher. The idea was to have a very light and soft image, but understand that this does not work for everyone. Same applies to the tight crop. At least you stopped by and it was worth your time commenting ;)
Instant gratification. Then I decided the dark tones are too dark causing they irises of her eyes to loose their undoubted beauty. The shaddow on the shoulder, you know about. The crop is fine although I would have raised the top a fraction so all her hairline was included, creating a frame for her lovely face. I love the pale tones and the uneven, very slightly, lighting on the background is perfect.
Beautiful shot you captured. She has a very glamorous look to her and a nice soft expression. I agree that you could either add the hairline or you could crop down a little further.
Oliver...wow, it's perfect to me. I don't get visually pulled up to her forehead, I keep looking at her eyes and lips. Very beautiful and so well done!
