The Joy and Escape of Landscape Photography

Even if you are not a landscape photographer, it can be a fantastic genre to engage in casually simply for the joy of it. If you have been feeling stressed lately, check out why you might want to grab your camera and go for a hike.

Coming to you from First Man Photography, this fantastic video discusses how landscape photography can be an escape from the stresses of life. Even if you are not a landscape photographer, I think it is a fantastic way to get out with your camera. It gets you out of the house and out in nature, making it a natural form of exercise. On top of that, I personally find it quite meditative. Even if I do not come home with shots that I will end up putting in my portfolio, I always enjoy the experience of fresh air and sun and enjoying the outdoors. You do not need to have a ton of specialized equipment; even if you just have a kit lens, that is plenty to go out for a hike. I have even gone out with friends who just carried an 85mm prime they use for portraiture work, and they still got plenty of interesting shots. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
