I also try to incorporate unanswered questions, the function of a cliffhanger in a series, in my photos, a photo does not always have to tell the full story.
I think the best part is when certain pictures are recognizable and that everyone can imagine.
An 'older' man, sitting alone at a table with a beer, alone and looking outside. Everyone can empathize with such a person and wonder why that man is sitting there alone at a table.
Playing with the unknown is an element that you can play with as a photographer.
VERY nice! I understand the point of the in-focus chair, but it would have been better opposite, rather than next, to him. I'm not sure how you would have done that; just sayin'.
