Stillness Beneath the Storm

During my recent travels along the Gokarna coastline in Karnataka, we came across a unique scene of pebble stones while hiking the trail. I used wide-angle distortion to frame the composition and applied a long exposure technique to smooth out the water and passing rain clouds.

Sarvesh, wonderful composition, great detail and colors. One point of constructive criticism if I might. I understand the whole long exposure technique of smoothing water and clouds. But here I can only imagine what if. What if the waves were splashing on the rocks and the clouds had definition. I find the long exposure of the clouds and water here compete with the sharpness and detail of your chosen foreground. Just MHO.
Good work keep it up.

Thank you Paul, I am gonna try that next time I am on this location again.

Sarvesh, thanks for your reply. Sounds good on paper, but I'm sorry to inform you, you can never go back, yes you can return to a location but everything will be different. Here the tide, the clouds, waves, rocks and pebbles, the light etc. Therefore when on a location it's best to shoot a possible variables of a scene possible, IMHO.
Have a good one.
