Black-tailed Jack Rabbit, US 50 W of Prowers, Co. We saw two Jack Rabbits in a field along the road. We stoped the car and got our cameras ready being careful not to scare them.They sat there motionless until we were ready to shoot. Then they started chasing each other and paided no attention to us as we shot away.
We couldn't have been more lucky!

Wonderful shot supremely well captured considering the action. I thought it was a hare but forgot that it is differently known in North America.
