I've always been charmed by those places no one owns, created to fulfill a specific function, that incites no sense of belonging. Metro stations, airports, stairs...we all simply transit on them creating a deep weave of lives who share exactly nothing but a glance. Non places, called them Augè. This is my interpretation, shooting Sarah directly from above laying on concrete service stairs here in Genoa, Italy.
