Be & has been

This picture has been taken during my trip in Iceland in june 2014, in a very isolated region in center of the island.
The weather was very good, for landscape photographer: very cloudy but without any rain.
In these kind of lava field, almost nothing can grow up, except moss and these little pink flowers.
But they have a very short life in this hostile environment and most of the time, only their roots subsist.
The title of this image shows this: be a flower beside has been a flower...
