What you see are big pieces of carved ice, dropped by the glacier in the nearby lagoon in Jokulsarlon, Iceland.
They then drift down to the ocean from the lagoon, where the huge waves bring them back onto the shores and break them away, into smaller ephemeral pieces of art.
Probably my favorite place in Iceland, so beautiful on a sunny day as well as a cloudy day like this one.
