On a hike this past summer my friends sat for a rest on a log while some of the group packed up their equipment and tents. I noticed the light hitting the top of my one friend's head and wanted a back-lit portrait of him. The right of his face was falling too dark so I had my other friend reluctantly hold up for fill light a very sweaty and dirty white shirt that someone had taken off to let dry. He told me he'd bill me later for the assistance work.
