An opportunity came up to shoot on a acquaintance's sailboat and Hannie and I took the chance to create some stylised portraits.
This was also a chance to experiment with Elinchrom's new HS capabilities to shoot at high shutter speeds. I climbed the ship's mast to a suitable height. Whilst holding on, I arched and turn my torso around and used one hand on the camera to capture this shot. In such a situation, the high shutter speed was absolutely necessary to negate any hand held camera shake.
It was a calculated risk but the results more than paid off :)
