Sitting outside Il Salotto on Lugarno Guicciardini in Florence. Just enjoying lunch and watching the world go by.
The street is noisy with taxis, buses and mopeds constantly buzzing past. Foot traffic is also quite heavy, being about only 100 yards from Ponte Vecchio.
For the most part the light isn't great, until the high cloud breaks and the sun casts a hard light between the buildings against the wall separating the street from the filthy Arno river.
A young lady with a bright green top and red hair walks into the sunbeam, oblivious to the world around her, staring at her phone.
I channel my inner Roman Fox and snap away from our table on the street, simultaneously hoping I capture something decent and don't get myself arrested for my efforts.
