It was early winter, and I was returning to Dhaka from Sunamganj after spending three days and nights exploring its enchanting waterways by boat. On the final morning, I climbed onto the roof and discovered a magical scene: the captain sat wrapped in a blanket, still and silent in the mystical fog, while his assistant lay nearby, gazing curiously. Bathed in the soft, egg-yolk glow of dawn, the scene felt almost theatrical—a perfect reward for my journey.
