Alana is a young, extremely intelligent mathematician and physicist who loves nature and animals. I wanted her portrait to illustrate how brillant her mind is, yet at the same time how down-to-earth she is. I shot this at night, with the only light coming from the LEDs on her head. You need a body with a very sensitive sensor (like the D4s) to get a shot like this without visible noise.
