Dubai Creek is still a widely used thoroughfare, from the Abras (cheap, local passenger ferries) that cross from Bur Dubai to Deira, to the Dhows carrying cargo to Iran and beyond and (pictured) the tourist boats that cruise the waters for the pleasure of diners and pleasure-seekers from across the globe.
