This was taken at Shira Cave camp while trekking to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Mt. Meru is a mountain in very close proximity to Mt. Kilimanjaro. Fun fact, the summit height is the same height as the Kili base camp, approximately.
This is my first experience stacking focus. I've done other types of stacking, but not focus stacking before. While I was there, I took a few pictures deeper in on the mountain, focusing on the mountain with the beautiful clouds in the background. But the image was missing something. I dropped the tripod down maybe a foot and brought the bushes into the foreground, and that's when I thought about stacking two images focused on each subject. I really like the way it turned out.
