Macau was leased to Portugal back in 1557 as a trading post in exchange for Portugal to aide China in its defence against Pirates.
To this day, a lot of Portuguese architecture remains and is now blended in with a more modern Chinese style, the result is a hybrid Chinese-European city and an absolute must-visit for all street photographers.
