Iris

70mm · f/5.6 · 1/1600s · ISO 500

I researched these rivers over 5 years ago and on my first trip to Iceland could not afford to hire a pilot to see them. This year I saved every cent I could. Sometimes eating nothing but ramen to save enough. Once up there I could have stayed in the air all day, looking out over the riverbeds I started to notice how they looked so much like the human iris.

That's cool. Congrats for 'Photo of the Day' award.

oh man you made me remember when I was in Dublin, living in a out of this world apartment and eating 25 cents ramen. Fun time! Great job with the photo though! :) Sacrifice many times, pays back

Exactly, without sacrifice there is no reward! Thank you!!

Oh wow!! I can't even make sense of this. The rivers look like overpasses and underpasses. What an abstract! Whats the scale? Like how many KMs top to bottom? 5star

Thank you! Oh that’s a good question I would say around 5km. I have other shots like this with swans in the image and they are small little white specs.

Wonderful! - I thought you were going to say how much it reminds you of ramen. : )

Thank you! Hahaha so true. They do look noodle like. Lol
