A fact of Australian life is the reality of bushfires in this dry country. Part of the National Park in The Grampians in western Victoria had just reopened, following a couple of seasons of being allowed to regrow after being ravaged by such fires.
I was on my way to a waterfall, when this beautiful pattern caught my eye. Fire is a part of the natural life cycle of the vegetation, and creates its own beauty.
You beat me to it, Daniel! I like your version, with the strong diagonal. I've been intending to post mine for a while. Just goes to show I need to get on with things. Not that it's a race!

It's only reasonable, as I now realise it is what allows people with well-liked images to have a larger portfolio. I hadn't realised this until the kind folks led to my being allowed to post more.

Thanks, Alan. I'm curious to print this at A2 size, many times life-size. It's not B&W, and the little yellow insect at bottom right would be more visible. I like having tiny details in images that draw the eye once noticed, but may not be obvious. Tiny birds in seascapes often transform images for me, somehow, to give an example. The sheer mass of images on the net means such detail will likely be missed by the great majority of viewers, unless more obvious aspects of an image lead to close scrutiny.
This would look great as a large print. Like you I appreciate the subtleties in an image that invite the viewer to linger and follow a road of discovery.

Thanks, Hanaa. I sometimes think of painting as photography for cheats: the world offers us images - all we mainly to do is frame them up.
