One Sister

80mm · f/16.0 · 20s

One of the Three Sisters off Tasmania's north coast, near Penguin.

I shot nearly blind, with a polariser, a 3-stop and a 6-stop filter to get a long exposure in sunlight. Luckily the randomly-oriented polarisation didn't ruin the image. I've since bought a 10-stop filter.

Thanks, Hanaa. Sometimes, not much is quite enough.

Another nicely balanced composition Chris - love those blue hues!

Beautiful capture!

Thanks, Gregory. My first looong exposure, stacking NDs and polarisers. Lucky it worked out. Got a 10-stop filter after this!

Beautiful image. Simplicity really does sometimes convey much more

Thanks, Vincent! I have a print about a metre long in my waiting room at work. People tend to find this image calm and soothing.
