Orion and the Joshua Tree

I took an impromptu visit to Joshua Tree National Park whilst in Palm Springs on a business trip. Taking advantage of travelling to a different landscape, I wanted to shoot some astro in temperatures above freezing (Alberta Canada is my home).
Without scouting any locations, it was hard to find any compositions. I found a pull over and hiked a little into the desert and found this large lone Joshua Tree, with Orion floating above.Messing around with my headlamp behind me, I was able to get the tree light painted my a passing car.
I did return a few days later to shoot the rising milky way, but I think I enjoyed this shot a little more, as it has a human element, complete with proper desert attire....golf shoes :)
