Land of Fairytales

The land of ice and fire! Iceland is truly a land of fairytales. This gorgeous scene reminds me of something from a movie or a place described in a book.
I remember that my friend Kai and I were debating whether we should go to this place which you see in the photo or if we should go straight to Landmannalaugar. Our urge for seeing a new place won and I’m happy we went here. It was a difficult drive. Crossing rivers, wet sand and later driving through a huge sandstorm. Luckily we were blessed with this beautiful view when we arrived!
