Swan Wings

Trumpeter Swans viewed at Creamers field a migratory waterfowl refuge were water fowl uses the refuge as a feeding and rest stop prior enroute to nesting areas. The refuge is located in the heart of Fairbanks.
Using the spot metering on my Nikon D3x metered on a highlight area on the swan knowing the dynamic range of the camera everything fell into place. A Nikkor AF-S 300 f 2.8D was the lens and the editing was done in Dx0 Photolab3
